AED electrode pads are the part of your defibrillator most likely to be out of date. They expire on a fixed clock whether the device has ever been used or not — the conductive gel dries out — and an AED with expired pads may not deliver an effective shock when someone needs it.
We stock genuine OEM pads for ZOLL, Philips, Defibtech, HeartSine, Cardiac Science and Physio-Control, shipped from Calgary and Barrie with free shipping on orders over $99. No customs, no border delay, no wondering whether the part is grey-market.
This is the question that costs people money, because several pads look almost identical and do not interchange.

Philips FRx pads on a HeartStart OnSite. Both are “Philips HeartStart pads” and they look similar. Philips states plainly that FRx SMART Pads II are not for use with HS1, OnSite or Home units. If you own an OnSite, you need M5071A.
The clock starts at manufacture, not at purchase, so check the printed date on the pouch rather than counting from when you bought the unit. Pads must also be replaced after any use, even if a shock was never delivered.
Pediatric pads deliver a reduced energy dose for children under roughly 8 years old or 25 kg. How you get there varies by device: ZOLL, Defibtech, HeartSine and Cardiac Science all need physically different pediatric pads, while the Philips FRx uses a key and the LIFEPAK CR2 uses a button on the device with the same pads.
If your AED is in a school, daycare, community centre or pool, you want the pediatric option on hand. In an emergency, adult pads on a child are better than no defibrillation — but that is a fallback, not a plan.
Send us your AED’s make, model and purchase date and we will email you ninety days before your pads expire, with a direct link to reorder the correct part. It costs nothing and takes one email to set up.
Questions? Call 1-877-851-0756, Monday to Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm MT. We would rather spend two minutes confirming the right part than have you order the wrong one for a life-safety device.
