For customers with specific needs or requirements:
The Defibtech Lifeline AED uses a model-specific Lithium-Manganese Dioxide battery, which is non-rechargeable and disposable (recyclable where accepted). Each new Defibtech Lifeline AED comes with a 5-year battery directly from the manufacturer, unless otherwise specified.
The optional DCF-220 (DBP-2800) battery has a shelf life of 7 years in standby mode, or it can provide 300 shocks or 16 hours of continuous operation**, depending on usage.
While the Defibtech Lifeline AED is designed to alert the user with both audible and visual warnings when the battery is critically low, it is crucial to perform regular checks to ensure the battery remains within its operating range. The AED battery is often the most neglected component, and failure to replace it could result in the device being unable to function at a critical time.
**Typical performance with a new battery at 25°C.
